Location: Lewisville, TX
Starting Pay Rate: $17.80 Hourly (Based on shift and experience)
Available Shifts: 
Thursday - Monday | 6:00am - 2:30pm
Tuesday - Saturday | 6:00am - 2:30pm
Tuesday - Saturday | 8:30am - 5:00pm
Sunday – Thursday | 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Sunday – Thursday | 10:00pm - 6:30am
Tuesday - Saturday | 4:00am - 12:30pm

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Specimen Technician to support a high-volume laboratory in Lewisville, TX. This role is critical to ensuring accurate specimen processing and timely diagnostic testing in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and process patient specimens in a high-volume production environment
• Perform data entry with speed and accuracy (6,000+ keystrokes/hour preferred)
• Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting
• Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and delivery of specimens to appropriate lab areas
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a biohazard environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and support departments
• Keep work area clean, organized, and aligned with safety protocols
• Adapt to changing workflows, priorities, and departmental needs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong data entry and basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Previous laboratory, medical, or production experience preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
