Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processing Technician I to support our client’s medical facility in following cities, Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 3-month assignment and it's a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Specimen Processing Technician I to join a busy clinical laboratory's specimen processing team. This position is ideal for candidates with strong data entry, computer, and keyboarding skills who can perform repetitive tasks accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general specimen processing and laboratory support functions.
• Process specimens through areas such as A-station, presort, pickup/delivery, imaging/microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
• Enter specimen and patient information accurately into computer systems.
• Identify and understand different specimen types and test requirements.
• Follow changing laboratory compliance and specimen-ordering requirements.
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Perform repetitive data-entry and computer-based tasks for most of the shift.

 
Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong basic computer skills
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills

 
Additional Information:  

• Location: Pittsburgh, PA
• Job Type: 13-week contract
• Pay Range: $17 - $20 (Hourly)
• Shifts:3rd Shift, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
