Specialty Software Engineer 4 - Contingent

Job Description:

• Client is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with over 6 years of handson platform development experience to design, develop, and support scalable ServiceNow solutions.
• The ideal candidate will be wellversed in Agile methodologies, hold ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications, and bring prior or current full?stack Java development experience to support integrations and custom solutions.

• Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
• Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
• Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
• Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

• 5 plus years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 5 plus years of ServiceNow Software Engineering experience (new development and support)
• 1 plus year of working with globally dispersed team

• 2 plus years of Agile delivery experience
• Corporate real estate technology delivery experience
• Ability to foster a collaborative environment by actively participating in requirements and design discussions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a scrum team to design, implement, and support IT solutions to business needs
• Ability to translate business needs to technical solutions
• Ability to perform data analysis and design
• Ability to design data interfaces

• This position offers a hybrid work schedule

• In this contingent resource assignment, you may:
• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and largescale planning for Specialty Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze complex multifaceted, larger scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
• Contribute to the resolution of complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
• Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

• 5 plus years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

• RTO schedule 3 days in office MANDATORY

• Can you provide examples of ServiceNow applications you have developed or customized in the past?
• Can you discuss your experience with ServiceNow's scripting languages, such as JavaScript and GlideScript? How do you utilize them to enhance functionality?
• Describe an integration you implemented with ServiceNow.
• How many catalog items have you developed? Could you share an example of a complex one and describe the solution you implemented?
• Explain how ServiceNow table inheritance works. When would you extend an existing table versus creating a new one?
• Have you previously worked on data imports? If so, how did you make it happen?

• Manages 2 Servicenow apps, Enterprise Services Portfolio and Business Continuity Management for enterprise business resiliency.
• ESP is the service of record for all service offerings across client. BCM just went live from off the shelf in March. Will work on continued enhancements and functionality and fix any production issues.
• Many Servicenow engineers will have a Java background. Will be scripting in Javascript. Full stack Java background is a preferrable skill.
• This person may work on an integration with a Full Stack Java app.
• Heavily focusing on automation. ESP is custom, the native testing app in Servicenow doesn’t work as needed, are instead using Playwright. Also, ATF would be a great skill to have for automation testing.
• Will really look into configuration and integration experience to judge the depth of their engineering experience. Has seen people lie about having integration or BCM experience.
• Client Servicenow experience would be great.
• Servicenow deployments usually happen Thursday nights, but there’s a dedicated team working on that, shouldn’t involve the contractor.
• Will have about 2 sprint cycles to get up to speed.
• This group asks that their contractors not take all 3 of the nonbillable vacation weeks simultaneously.

• Both CSA & CAD certifications

Pay Range: $70.00 - 80.00/hr on W2
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
