Are you someone who takes pride in staying organized, following through, and helping people during important moments in their healthcare journey? We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Intake Coordinator to join our growing specialty pharmacy team.

As part of an independent wholesaler of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy products and services, our organization is committed to supporting community pharmacy and delivering exceptional service to patients and healthcare partners. In this role, you will play a key part in helping patients receive timely access to medications while coordinating important intake and prior authorization activities behind the scenes.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, communicating with patients and healthcare providers, and managing details with accuracy and care in a hybrid work environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate medication deliveries with patients and healthcare facilities
  • Contact physician offices to secure prior authorizations within designated timeframes
  • Process prescription orders received from referral sources by phone and fax
  • Maintain accurate patient information within Hub Program databases and spreadsheets
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and referral partners
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and safety guidelines
  • Help keep workflow organized and moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and database systems
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a quiet office environment with periodic supervision. Hybrid/remote work consideration may be available based on business needs and individual performance.
