Description:
Delivers timely and effective critical care paramedic level emergency medical care to patients of all ages in both emergency and non-emergency situations, ensuring stabilization and/or resuscitation as needed due to illness or injury. Responds to ambulance calls, follows established system protocols and NIMS standards for scene management, and accurately document all care provided. When available, assists in the Emergency Department by performing advanced airway management, medication administration, and assists with delegated tasks such as assessments, vital signs, IV initiation, ECGs, and documentation, as well as decontamination, cleaning, and restocking of equipment.

Assist in orientation of new EMTs, Advanced EMTs, Paramedics, and Critical Care Paramedics; provide education to staff and the public as requested. Precept and mentor EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic students. Community Engagement Maintain a professional public image; participate in public relations activities. Support Community Paramedicine program tasks (e.g., medication reconciliation, brief home safety review, patient assessment, red flag education, follow-up coordination, and documentation).
