    Description

    A growing global denim and fashion brand is seeking a Specialty Account Executive to help expand its U.S. wholesale business, with a focus on independent specialty retailers and emerging regional accounts.  Based in Los Angeles / Southern California, this role will be responsible for developing new wholesale opportunities, managing and growing existing accounts, presenting seasonal collections, and building strong relationships with buyers and retail decision-makers. The position will work closely with the U.S. sales leadership team and cross-functional partners to identify market opportunities, drive revenue, and strengthen the brand’s specialty retail presence.  The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven salesperson who understands the specialty retail landscape and is comfortable owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting and opening new accounts through seasonal selling, order management, reorders, and long-term account development. A strong passion for fashion, denim, emerging brands, and retail is important, as is the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    Requirements

    • 3–5+ years of wholesale fashion sales experience, ideally within denim, contemporary, young contemporary.
    • Established relationships with over 100 independent specialty retailers and regional accounts strongly preferred.
    • Proven track record of opening new accounts and generating wholesale business.
    • Strong understanding of the U.S. specialty retail landscape and relevant market dynamics.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and pipeline management.
    • Comfortable managing the full sales process, from prospecting and outreach through presentations, order writing, confirmations, and follow-up.
    • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to identify opportunities for account growth, reorders, recuts, and door expansion.
    • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with buyers, owners, store managers, and other key decision-makers.
    • Ability to understand account performance, customer profiles, assortments, and selling trends.
    • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate product, collection, and brand stories effectively.
    • Comfortable creating seasonal account strategies, forecasts, and sales plans.
    • Ability to research prospective retailers, identify new market opportunities, and maintain an active sales pipeline.
    • Strong forecasting, reporting, and internal communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, merchandising, marketing, and global teams.
    • Comfortable working independently in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for fashion, denim, specialty retail, and emerging brands.
    • Willingness to travel for market appointments, trade shows, showroom events, and account visits.
    • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to take ownership of sales targets and business development goals.
    • Persistent, proactive, energetic, and solutions-oriented approach to building relationships and creating new business opportunities.
