Join Us as a Specialized Fleet Systems Technician
Picture your first week: you roll into a clean, well-equipped shop. Your first ticket is a commercial utility truck with a charging issue. After reviewing wiring diagrams, you isolate a sensor fault and bring the system back online. Next on the bay is an emergency vehicle needing hydraulic diagnostics on a generator-driven pump. By the afternoon, you’re collaborating with a teammate on a suspension repair and buttoning up service documentation. This is a typical day building expertise across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems—without being stuck in the same routine.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and integrated vehicle systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on specialized commercial and emergency vehicles.
- Service brake, suspension, and steering systems to restore safety and performance.
- Track down electrical concerns involving wiring, lighting, charging systems, sensors, and accessories.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and full-vehicle inspections.
- Identify faults in hydraulic circuits, pumps, generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Leverage diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, and OEM service information to pinpoint root causes.
- Repair or replace worn or damaged components with precision.
- Carry out basic fabrication or welding when needed.
- Complete accurate service documentation and repair records.
- Partner with other technicians to deliver safe, efficient repairs.
Who Thrives Here
You’re hands-on, curious, and steady under pressure. If you bring experience from automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, commercial truck or bus, construction or agricultural equipment, or fleet maintenance, you’ll feel right at home. Prior emergency vehicle experience is not required—bring mechanical aptitude, strong troubleshooting instincts, and the drive to learn specialized systems.
