    The Talent Acquisition Specialist - Surgical Assist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of Surgical Assistants (SAs/LSAs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Physician Assistants (PAs) supporting intraoperative and surgical support services. This individual will independently develop sourcing strategies specific to surgical assist talent, manage high-priority searches, and build long-term candidate pipelines - including relationships with CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant programs - in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. This role is ideal for an experienced clinical recruiter with a proven track record in Surgical Assist, NP, PA, or LSA placement who thrives in high-volume recruiting, cold outreach, credentialing-aware screening, and relationship-driven talent acquisition.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead full-cycle recruitment of Surgical Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and LSAs from sourcing through onboarding
    • Design and execute advanced sourcing strategies for Surgical Assist, NP, and PA roles, including building relationships with CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant program directors and college recruitment pipelines
    • Build and maintain robust candidate pipelines of Surgical Assist and advanced practice provider (NP/PA) talent for time-sensitive clinical needs
    • Cold-call, engage, and qualify clinical candidates daily
    • Partner closely with hiring managers to deliver an exceptional recruitment experience
    • Screen and evaluate high volumes of resumes to identify best-fit candidates
    • Present qualified candidates to leadership for review and selection
    • Maintain consistent follow-up with candidates throughout interviews, offers, negotiations, relocation, and offer acceptance
    • Track recruiting activity and candidate status within the ATS
    • Meet aggressive staffing goals, deadlines, and placement targets
    • Verify licensure, certifications (e.g., CSA, SA-C, NP board certification, NCCPA/PA-C), and credentialing requirements specific to Surgical Assist and advanced practice roles
    • Match Surgical Assist, NP, and PA candidates' certifications, OR experience, and specialty skill sets with site-specific surgical program needs
    • Maintain long-term relationships with candidates for future hiring needs
    • Manage multiple priorities and move seamlessly between tasks
    • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality throughout the recruitment process
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
    • Minimum 3 years of healthcare or clinical recruiting experience, with direct experience recruiting Surgical Assistants, NPs, PAs, or LSAs strongly preferred
    • Proven success recruiting Surgical Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or other surgical/advanced practice providers
    • Experience working directly with hiring managers and leadership
    • Demonstrated ability to meet high-volume recruiting goals
    • Strong cold-calling, persuasion, and relationship-building skills
    • Working knowledge of Surgical Assist, NP, and PA licensure, certification (e.g., CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant programs, CSA/SA-C, NCCPA/PA-C), and credentialing requirements
    • Proficiency with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
    • Positions are highly time sensitive; an existing network or funnel of Surgical Assist, NP, PA, or LSA candidates is highly preferred
    • Move seamlessly form task to task
    • Work with various computer systems and websites
    • Verifiable and successful track record of medical recruiting experience, including working in a medium to high volume Surgical Assist, NP, or PA recruiting capacity
    • Familiarity with intraoperative neurological monitoring (IONM) and surgical support staffing models, OR terminology, and CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Assistant program landscape
    • Ability to work independently as well as a team member
    • Ability to excel in fast paced working environment
    • Comfortable with high volume cold calling
    • Strong work ethic-highly dependable

    • Ability to be persuasive and influential in verbal and written communications
    • Ability to meet strict staffing goals and deadlines
    • Excellent skills in with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access & Outlook
