Overview:
The IT Planning and Management Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing IT strategies, plans, and operations to support organizational objectives. This role serves as a key liaison between local operations, corporate headquarters, and external partners, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives, resource planning, budgeting, and compliance. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and bilingual communication skills to effectively support both local and global stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
IT Strategic Planning and Governance
Develop and maintain short-term and long-term IT plans aligned with business strategy and corporate IT direction
Support IT governance processes, including policy development, standards compliance, and documentation
Evaluate existing IT systems and processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
IT Project Planning and Management
Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
Monitor project progress, identify issues, and escalate risks as necessary
Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery
Budgeting and Resource Management
Prepare and manage IT budgets, including annual planning, forecasting, and cost tracking
Monitor IT expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources
Support contract management and vendor performance evaluation
Operational Coordination and Compliance
Ensure IT operations comply with internal policies, corporate standards, and applicable regulations
Support audits and internal reviews related to IT systems and processes
Coordinate with HQ IT teams to align local implementation with global standards
Communication and Reporting
Act as a primary communication bridge between IT, business departments, and management
Prepare and present IT plans, project status reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to leadership
Support executive decision-making through data analysis and reporting
Korean Bilingual Support and Coordination
Provide bilingual (Korean–English) communication support for IT-related meetings, documentation, and reporting with HQ and Korean stakeholders
Translate and interpret IT policies, procedures, technical documents, and project materials between Korean and English as required
Facilitate effective collaboration between Korean-speaking management, global IT teams, and local staff to ensure accurate understanding and execution of IT initiatives
Continuous Improvement and Risk Management
Identify IT-related risks and support the development of mitigation and contingency plans
Stay current with emerging IT trends, technologies, and best practices
Proactively recommend improvements to IT planning, service delivery, and operational processes
Others
Prompt, regular, predictable attendance
Physical presence at work during all scheduled work hours
Overtime and weekend work as required

Qualifications:
Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Management, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related discipline
Experience in IT planning, IT governance, or project management within a manufacturing or automotive environment
Experience working with global or Korean headquarters–driven IT organizations
Prior experience supporting bilingual (Korean–English) business or IT operations
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or equivalent) preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of IT planning, IT operations management, and project coordination within an enterprise environment
Solid understanding of IT governance, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management principles
Ability to plan, track, and manage multiple IT initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business priorities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess risks and recommend effective solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical and non-technical information
Fluent bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, including the ability to translate, interpret, and communicate IT-related information accurately between both languages
Ability to serve as a communication bridge between Korean-speaking headquarters and management
Strong documentation and reporting skills, including preparation of IT plans, project status reports, and management summaries
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

Working Hours and Conditions:
Standard working hours: 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Combination of office work and on-site operational support as required
Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required based on project or operational needs
