Primary Purpose:
Provide reception, clerical, scheduling assistance for the efficient operation of the P.L.A.S (Professional Learning and Administrative Services) building. Coordinate the furniture and technology setup and takedown of the PLAS training rooms for district meetings and rental events
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficient keyboarding skills
- Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written
- Ability to operate multi-line phone system
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite products
- Knowledge of SchoolDude FSDirect Scheduling Program is preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the administration may find appropriate and acceptable
Experience:
- At least two years' experience in an office setting
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route calls to appropriate staff
- Greet and direct visitors coming into the L.A.S building, assist public, staff and students as needed
- Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes
- Attend weekly tribunal hearings at PLAS and document pertinent information for follow-up hearings.
- Work closely with campus administrators to schedule students for the truancy tribunal docket and document interventions aimed at reducing student attendance issues.
- Communicate with parents, provide verbal and written reminders of tribunal hearing dates.
- Ensure communication with campuses when administrators are unable to attend hearings.
- Provide written notification to district families regarding unexcused absences.
- Refer students to truancy court when tribunal interventions are unsuccessful.
- Provide pertinent documentation of tribunal hearings to the Security Coordinator needed for truancy court. Attend truancy court hearings with the Security Coordinator.
- Collect data, generate monthly reports on campus truancy and tribunal referral numbers, and regularly provided this information to the Director of Safe and Secure Schools and the Executive Director of Operations for Support Services.
- Maintain computerized files using personal computer including reports, employee roster, mailing lists and other files. Sort and distribute mail, messages, and other documents as needed
- Provide clerical assistance as needed to departments within the P.L.A.S.
- Assist the various departments with miscellaneous assignments
- Coordinate with the custodial staff the set-up and take-down of the furniture for district meetings and rental events
- Set-up technology and movable walls as required for staff meetings and district staff development meetings
- Performs other duties as the superintendent or supervisors may assign

Salary: Pay Grade AS03, $17.65 - $21.01 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.
