    Description

    The HR Specialist provides essential regional support to the HR Manager by executing and coordinating key human resources initiatives aligned with the organization’s talent strategy. This role serves as a critical link between regional operations and Corporate HR Shared Services, ensuring consistent delivery of HR programs, policies, and processes.

    The HR Specialist helps build a high-performing workforce by supporting recruiting efforts, leadership development initiatives, employee engagement activities, and employee relations matters. This position requires strong collaboration, operational excellence, and the ability to balance hands-on execution with strategic support

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of regional HR initiatives across recruiting, engagement, leadership development, and employee relations
    • Partner with the HR Manager to ensure alignment with overall talent strategy
    • Coordinate recruiting activities in partnership with hiring managers and Corporate HR Shared Services
    • Facilitate interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding processes, and orientations
    • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns, escalating as appropriate
    • Support engagement initiatives, communications, and recognition programs
    • Assist with documentation and follow-up on employee relations matters
    • Collaborate with Corporate HR Shared Services to ensure efficient delivery of HR processes (e.g., onboarding, employee data updates)
    • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
    • Prepare reports, track HR metrics, and support regional HR projects
    • Greet all visitors in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner upon arrival, answer the door promptly, and determine the purpose of each visitor’s visit
    • Provide day-to-day operational support to the HR Manager and regional leaders

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • 2–4 years of progressive HR experience
      • Exposure to multiple HR disciplines (e.g., recruiting, employee relations, HR operations)
      • Experience working in a matrixed organization or with shared services preferred

      Required Skills/Abilities:

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
      • Ability to speak Spanish
      • Ability to establish trust and credibility with employees, managers, and cross-functional partners
      • Analytical thinking with sound judgment in resolving HR-related issues
      • Strong time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail
      • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
      • Experience with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and collaboration tools
      • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adjust to changing priorities
      • Proven ability to work effectively with Corporate HR Shared Services and internal stakeholders

      Physical Demands and Work Environment

      • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
      • Frequent use of hands to operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment
      • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting up to 15-20 lbs (e.g., materials for job fairs or career events)
      • Occasional travel to job fairs, career events, or between company locations/facilities
      • Primarily an office environment with standard lighting, temperature control, and noise levels
      • Occasional exposure to a manufacturing or distribution environment when visiting facilities, participating in hourly hiring events, or conducting on-site interviews (may include exposure to noise, moving machinery, or varying temperatures typical of a plant/warehouse setting)
      • Some travel may be required for career fairs, networking events, or multi-site recruiting support
