Summary: The Construction Specialist (CS) The CS will apply Energy Transfer's (ET) policies and procedures to promote Health and Safety programs and provide adequate support to ET's Engineering and Construction business unit. The CSS will interface with E&C project field personnel and contractors to ensure both groups work collaboratively and maintain a high level of safety performance among the contractor workforce.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide project support for E&C-managed projects, including:
Attend planning and kickoff meetings
Assist with contract safety personnel management.
Conduct Veriforce contractor reviews as needed
Review contractor Health and Safety documentation and processes and communicate compliance/gaps regarding regulatory requirements.
Conduct periodic safety assessments & inspections for ongoing projects to ensure safety procedures are in place and reduce the likelihood of safety deficiencies.
Assist with interpretation of procedures, regulatory standards, and implementation.
Work collaboratively with Ops Support Safety to ensure consistency of contractor safety processes and applications.
Promote best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
Review and support investigations of incidents, near-miss accidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes and preventive measures.
Interface with Field Safety Inspectors and Contractor Safety Representatives to ensure project safety compliance.
Plan, lead, and participate in job site safety meetings.
Gather and implement feedback regarding quality concerns and improvement.
