You'll serve as a specialist focused on the organization's most complex, difficult-to-close Medicaid cases across 14 facilities, stepping in where bandwidth runs thin and the cost of missing a deadline can reach $40,000 in a single month. No hand-holding, no training ramp — just ownership, urgency, and results.
Key Responsibilities
Case Oversight & Management
- Own and drive the most complex Medicaid-pending cases across multiple facilities to completion
- Monitor application timelines, collect required documentation, and ensure monthly deadlines are met
- Get hands-on when cases stall rather than relying on follow-up emails
Cross-Facility Coordination
- Oversee building-level teams tracking admissions and case plans across 14 facilities
- Partner with business office managers who handle routine operations, stepping in on problem cases that exceed their bandwidth
- Maintain strong working knowledge of each active case and its individual challenges
Revenue Protection
- Identify and prioritize cases with the highest revenue-at-risk exposure
- Prevent revenue losses caused by missed Medicaid deadlines that cannot be backdated
- Manage insurance authorization negotiations as part of broader case strategy
Qualifications
- Seasoned experience with Medicaid application processes — this role hits the ground running from day one
