Location: New York, NY 10018 (Remote – Must be able to work onsite up to 3 days/week as needed)

Pay Rate: $56.50/hour (W2)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6+ Month Contract (Potential for Extension or Conversion)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Projects Designer Manager to join a global leader in the luxury eyewear industry. In this role, you will collaborate with licensors, brand teams, and product development teams in both North America and Italy to create innovative eyewear collections. You'll be responsible for developing new concepts, producing technical drawings and renderings, supporting prototype development, and driving product innovation from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative eyewear concepts based on brand specifications.
• Create concept sketches, renderings, and presentation materials using Adobe Illustrator.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, section views, exploded views, and prototype documentation.
• Collaborate with product development and line planning teams in the U.S. and Italy.
• Review CAD models and prototypes, providing revisions to ensure design accuracy.
• Research fashion and eyewear trends to develop market-leading products.
• Analyze competitive products and identify new design opportunities.
• Explore new materials, hardware, and manufacturing techniques.
• Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.
• Participate in industry conferences and trade shows as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a related field.
• 5+ years of product design experience.
• Experience designing luxury accessories (eyewear preferred; jewelry, fashion accessories, or hardware experience also considered).
• Strong understanding of product development and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator).
• Experience with 3D modeling software (Rhino or similar).
• Experience using KeyShot or comparable rendering software.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Eyewear industry experience.
• Experience working with international teams.
• Exposure to Italian culture or language is a plus.
