Overview: Under the supervision of the Director of Special Events the Special Event Technician will perform duties associated with providing emergency and non-emergency care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and protocols, and Community Ambulance policies. Duties performed are limited to Community Events or Special Events locations only and as required by the Special Events contract. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls on-site of the Special Event • Act within the protocols as set by the SNHD • Administer basic care to patients within the Special Event setting • Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical treatments and appropriate transport decisions • Communicate with Company personnel to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and/or to arrange reception of patients to the appropriate facility • Maintain order on scenes, including crowd disbursement and restraint of family and friends as required • Complete Patient Care Report forms, evaluations forms, and all other forms in a competent and timely fashion. • Protect patient privacy in accordance with Community Ambulance’s privacy policies • Keep skills and knowledge current through attending ongoing CME courses offered by Community Ambulance or other providers • Assure that all certifications, licenses, and registrations are current at all times.
