Special Education Teacher

Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Surprise, Arizona. Deliver individualized education plans and support students' academic and social development. Contribute to a high-impact educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs

• Implement instructional strategies that support students' academic and social development

• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support

• Maintain documentation in compliance with school and state regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or equivalent

• Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE)

• CPR certification

• First Aid certification

• NCI Training certification

• Food Handlers Card

• Minimum 1 year experience in special education or related field

• Valid driver's license (front and back)

• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Social Security Card

• Negative Mantoux TB Test within 12 months or health provider's statement within 6 months

• Two letters of recommendation from supervisor, co-worker, or personal
