Position Overview
As the Special Education Teacher, you will lead a small, self-contained classroom and work closely with support staff and related service providers to deliver individualized instruction and promote student success. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a collaborative educational team.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student IEP goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with therapists, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring records
• Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
• Use evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support student growth

Qualifications

• Active Arizona Special Education certification required:
  • Mild/Moderate Disabilities, or
  • Moderate/Severe Disabilities
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
• Ability to work onsite in a school setting
• Previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom preferred

Schedule & Assignment Details

• Full-time, in-person position
• School hours: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
• Self-contained classroom setting with specialized support services
• Small classroom environment allowing for individualized instruction
• School holiday break scheduled for November 23-27
• Supportive team and collaborative educational environment
