Duties

  • Assume responsibility as case manager for each student as determined by the IEP Process
  • Develop and implement Individual Educational Programs for students with varying functional levels.
  • Prepare necessary written materials including goals, objectives, summaries/reports (including data summaries) for all meetings pertaining to student performance.
  • Plan daily lesson and weekly schedules to incorporate the individual objectives and group activities into a smooth routine, with consideration for individual program emphasis.

Qualifications

  • Hold a registered, valid Illinois LBSI / Professional Educator License.

AERO Special Education Cooperative in Burbank, IL, is hiring full-time Special Education Teachers. Positions include teachers at the elementary, high school, and post high school grade levels.

Our new therapeutic center offers a collaborative environment for Special Education Teachers to work with IEP teams and fellow SPED Teachers in the same grade band and program. AERO supports students from EC to age 22, allowing teachers to engage in whole classroom activities, 1:1 sessions, and small group activities in the classroom and around the school building. The center''s design includes breakout spaces for more personalized learning. Teachers are provided computers and technology for teaching and report/documentation completion. AERO also provides assessment tools, curriculum materials, other subscriptions, communication supports, and related service supports from case load social workers, speech/language pathologists, OT/PT, nurses, and BCBAs or Behavior Intervention Specialists.
