    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Valid Washington State teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement

    • Bachelor's degree with specialization in Special Education; Master's preferred

    • Thorough knowledge of applicable Washington State and Federal rules and regulations

    • Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

    • Ability to evaluate and write IEP's and familiarity with inclusion/mainstreaming essential

    • Knowledge of Washington State education trends and the use of technology in the classroom

    • Experience working with students with social, emotional and behavioral challenges

    • Ability to provide a highly structured learning environment and work with a team

    • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and positive attitude required
