Contract Duration: 39 weeks
Compensation: Up To $58.00/Hour Based on Experience

Job Requirements.
  • EducationRequirements: Special Education teaching certification/endorsement (or equivalent state-approved credentials) required for LBS1 assignment in a school setting.
  • CertificationsRequirements: Valid Illinois Special Education teaching license/endorsement for LBS1 (or equivalent state certification for the assignment).
  • ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of experience working with students with disabilities in a school or educational setting; experience implementing IEPs and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • OtherRequirements: Must be able to work a standard ES school day schedule (Days) and meet school-based expectations for lesson planning and student progress monitoring. Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff; patient, supportive, and student-centered approach; ability to manage classroom instruction and adapt supports to meet IEP goals. Background check and onboarding compliance required per school/district policy; facility requirements will follow “Standard Requirements” and additional details provided for the specific anticipated openings.

JobResponsibilities:
  • Teach special education instruction aligned to student IEPs, providing appropriate accommodations, modifications, and supports to meet individualized learning needs.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons and evidence-based interventions using data-informed decision-making to support progress.
  • Collaborate with related services staff, general education teachers, administrators, and families to ensure consistent implementation of IEP goals and strategies.
  • Monitor student progress, track outcomes, and document performance to support IEP meetings and required reporting.
  • Maintain a safe, structured classroom environment and uphold school/district policies, including compliance with onboarding and facility requirements (“Standard Requirements”).
