As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to provide virtual services to charter K-8 school students. MUST be a fully licensed Intervention Specialist (no long-term substitute licenses will be considered). This position is for the remainder of the current school year.
Special Education Teacher Salary: $40-$41 per hour
Special Education Teacher Position Details:
- Provide IEP-based services, write IEPs, collaborate with team members, schedule and attend IEP meetings, assist with ETRs, make up compensatory minutes, and complete progress reports
- Full-Time (Mon- Fri, 35 hours per week, 8am start time)
Special Education Teacher Qualification(s):
- Must be a fully licensed Intervention Specialist (no long-term substitute licenses will be considered)
- School Certification in the state of Ohio
- Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
- Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Special Education Teacher Responsibilities May Include:
- Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievement
- Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the data
- Establishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom
- Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
- Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
- Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
