      • Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
      • Hours: 36 hours per week
    • Student Age Group: K to 3

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
    • Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching methods based on individual student needs.
    • Provide specialized instruction in accordance with students' IEPs.
    • Create a supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and social development.
    • Create, implement, and manage IEPs for assigned students.
    • Develop measurable academic, behavioral, and developmental goals based on student needs.
    • Monitor progress toward IEP goals and maintain appropriate documentation.
    • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress with families and relevant team members.
    • Ensure services and accommodations are provided as outlined in each student's IEP.
    • Conduct and utilize assessments to identify student strengths, needs, and areas for growth.
    • Regularly monitor academic, social, emotional, and behavioral progress.
    • Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
    • Adjust instructional strategies and interventions based on assessment results and student progress.
    • Work closely with general education teachers to support students in inclusive educational settings.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS I) endorsement.
    • Must be authorized to provide special education services to K-3 students in Illinois.
    • Experience working with elementary-aged students with disabilities is preferred.
    • Experience developing and managing IEPs, conducting assessments, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams is preferred.
