Position Overview
Birch Agency is actively seeking two passionate and dedicated Special Education Setting III Teachers for school-based opportunities in Crystal, Minnesota.

These positions provide the opportunity to support students with significant academic, behavioral, emotional, developmental, and functional needs within a highly supportive and structured educational environment. The Setting III program is designed to serve students who require specialized instruction, individualized interventions, and intensive support to achieve success both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students' unique needs
  
• 
  Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Minnesota state standards
  
• 
  Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments to support diverse learning needs
  
• 
  Implement evidence-based interventions and positive behavior support strategies
  
• 
  Collaborate with families, related service providers, and educational staff to ensure student success
  
• 
  Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with federal and state special education regulations
  
• 
  Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
  
• 
  Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and well-being
  

Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field required
  
• 
  Active Minnesota Special Education teaching license or eligibility to obtain licensure
  
• 
  Experience working with students requiring intensive academic, behavioral, emotional, or functional support preferred
  
• 
  Knowledge of IEP development, IDEA compliance, differentiated instruction, accommodations, modifications, and behavior intervention strategies
  
• 
  Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary educational teams
