About the Role

Hello Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a

Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you'll provide specialized instruction in a Resource setting, develop and manage IEPs, monitor student progress, and collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and other members of the school team.

You'll help students access the general education curriculum while providing individualized support, accommodations, and interventions based on their unique learning needs.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

  • Provide specialized instruction and targeted academic support

  • Support high school students in accessing the general education curriculum

  • Implement research-based interventions, accommodations, and modifications

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

  • Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families

  • Collect and analyze assessment data to guide instruction

  • Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive learning environment

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Generalist license or application in process

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field

  • Minimum 1 year of classroom experience

  • Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs

  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

  • Collaborative and flexible team player
