About the Role

Hello, Special Education Teachers! Ampersand Therapy is hiring Special Education Teachers to support students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) in a high school setting in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction, support students' IEP goals, and help create a structured and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs.

This is a great opportunity for an SPED Teacher who is passionate about working with students with significant support needs and enjoys building meaningful relationships while helping students develop academic, functional, communication, and life skills. What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs

  • Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects

  • Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families

  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation

  • Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs

  • Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with Special Education endorsement

  • Fingerprinting through OSPI

  • Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

  • School-based experience preferred, not required
