Job Title: Special Education Teacher – PreK–2 Autism
Location: Bethany, CT
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract


Schedule & Duration:

• 7.5 hours per day, Monday–Friday
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: End of the school year

Grade Level:

• PreK–2, Autism program

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support for students with autism in PreK–2 classrooms
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with student needs and district standards
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with Connecticut regulations

Qualifications:

• Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience working with students with autism preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
