Hours of Work (%FTE): 7:30AM - 3:30PM (Student contact days & professional days will be required) 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week when school is in session.

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Anticipated Start Date: 2026-2027 School Year

Job Description:

The School District of Mauston seeks applicants for a full-time Special Education Teacher Assistant at Olson Middle School. Applicants must be willing and have the desire to work with students with intellectual, learning and/or behavioral disabilities in a classroom setting. Applicants must also be physically able to adjust to the specific educational, behavioral, and physical needs of the student. This position can require you to sit 20% of the time, stand 40% of the time, and walk (potential need to run) 40% of the time. Must be able to:

• Lift

• Carry

• Push/Pull

• Attend To Tube Feeding

• Toileting /Change Diapers

• Attend To Other Possible Health Needs

• Work With Students That Have Emotional, Physical, Behavioral, And Learning Disabilities

• Work As A Team

• Follow Directions From Teacher/Supervisor
