    Special Education Paraprofessional: Will be working with Special Education students in inclusion classes and/or Life Skills Room.

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team at Iowa Park High School. This role primarily supports students in inclusion classes and/or the Life Skills Room, providing essential assistance to students with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

    As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will collaborate closely with teachers and staff to ensure the academic and social-emotional success of students. Your role will include providing individualized support in the classroom, assisting with behavior management, supporting transitions, and providing structured breaks when necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher in education, child development, or a related field preferred.

    • Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in special education settings, is preferred but not required. Working with children with diverse learning needs is a plus.

    Skills & Attributes:

    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other team members.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond flexibly to changing classroom environments.

    • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs.

    • Ability to work with students who may display challenging behaviors and assist in de-escalation strategies.
