Modify daily learning materials using visual schedules, simplified worksheets, or tactile learning tools. Help students operate assistive technology, speech-generating devices, and communication boards. Implement individual Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and reinforce positive behavior rewards. Apply de-escalation strategies and guide students to sensory breaks during times of emotional distress or sensory overload. Prompt and coach students during peer interactions to build age-appropriate social skills. Assist with personal hygiene tasks, including diapering, toilet training, handwashing, and changing clothes. Support students during lunch and snack times with feeding or physical assistance.
