Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Special Education or Designated Administrator, the basic role of the Special Education Paraprofessional is to increase the likelihood that each student will receive the necessary academic assistance and other support that would facilitate his/her success in attaining the goal of full-time placement in the regular classroom. A Special Education Paraprofessional may work with students on a one-to-one basis or in a small group in the Special Education room or in the student's classroom.
