MESD is a TK-8 district, operating five neighborhood schools: Green Hills Elementary, Lomita Park Elementary, Meadows Elementary, Spring Valley Elementary, and Taylor Middle School. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in caring for and reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of special education students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist students with performing academic tasks, daily living/life skills, behavior management and special health care activities as assigned by classroom teachers or administrators. TRAINING IS PROVIDED.

The District shall provide an onboarding incentive bonus totaling up to $2,000.00 for eligible newly hired classified employees, to be distributed in two (2) separate installments under the following conditions: First Installment ($1,000.00): Newly hired unit members will receive an initial payment of $1,000.00 on their first regular pay warrant in August 2026. Second Installment ($1,000.00): Newly hired unit members will receive a final payment of $1,000.00 on their regular pay warrant in May 2027, provided the employee has successfully completed and passed their initial probationary period with the District.
