Menomonie School District is seeking two long-term substitute teachers in Special Education at the elementary and middle school levels. These positions are expected to begin on or around November 20, 2026 and continue for 10 to 16 weeks, depending on the leave.
The successful candidates will display knowledge and application of the Wisconsin Teaching Standards, Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics, Wisconsin Standards for English Language Arts, the PLC and RtI processes and have knowledge of the IEP process and ability to facilitate a collaborative IEP meeting. Candidates must possess a passion for high-quality work within all student populations, have the ability to teach concepts to challenged elementary school students and exhibit positive communication with students and families.
Responsibilities include engaging students in conceptual thinking with applications to the real world, using data to adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students'' varying needs and interests, collaborating with colleagues to improve the learning of all students, and maintaining a safe, respectful classroom environment. Experience teaching elementary or middle school students is preferred. These are cross-categorical positions. Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) license to teach Special Education is required. These positions will remain open until filled with ongoing screening of applicants. EOE.
