Special Education Instructional Assistant

Roles and responsibilities dependent on position discussed-

• Instructional assistant will work with children in grades 3-6
• Hours/days may vary based upon position, with a maximum of 29.75 hours per week
• Academic Support: Reinforce lessons, read aloud, and guide small groups or individual students.
• Behavioral Guidance: Help manage classroom routines, redirect challenging behaviors, and provide positive feedback.
• Classroom Prep: Organize learning materials, set up equipment, and assist with general supervision outside the classroom.
• Skills: Strong communication, patience, empathy, and adaptability.
