    Reports To: Special Education Director

    Term: 12 months

    Performance Responsibilities may include:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and facilitate individualized education plans (IEPs)
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and service providers to coordinate educational and support services
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, services provided, and compliance with legal requirements
    • Serve as a liaison between families and school staff to facilitate effective communication and advocacy
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education laws and regulations
    • Provide support to staff and families regarding special education processes and accommodations
    • Completing report prep for student evaluations
    • Conducting clerical work related for admissions/enrollment processes
    • Entering SPED data into the state system quarterly based on the report of the student's service providers
    • Preparing and routing documents for electronic signatures
    • Fulfilling records requests
    • Conducting email and phone correspondence with parents and other stakeholders
    • Managing and maintaining the filing system for students' SPED and enrollment documents
    • Conducting quarterly audits of student files
    • Ensuring that student documents are scanned and uploaded to eSER and PowerSchool
    • Other clerical duties as assigned

    Requirements

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
    • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and families
    • Problem-solving skills and a compassionate approach to student advocacy
    • Proficiency in documentation and data management systems related to special education
