Waukesha East is hiring a Special Education Assistant to work with our high school students. Waukesha East serves students in 6th through 12th grade who are experiencing academic, social, or emotional obstacles within the traditional school environment. Waukesha East programs educate the "whole" child while providing individualized pathways toward graduation designed around each student's personal learning plan. This Special Education Assistant will assist the Special Education Teacher in meeting the diversified needs of students with various disabilities. As a part of this assignment, you will be required to assist in classroom modifications, communicate effectively with regular and special education staff, provide structure and feedback, and work with other students as assigned.
