Description

Special Education Teacher for a 36-week contract in Nantucket, Massachusetts. This role delivers high-quality instruction to students with severe disabilities (PreK-2) and supports individualized education plans. Compensation is up to $58 per hour, with premium pay and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality special education instruction to students with severe disabilities (PreK-2) in a school setting.

  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).

  • Use ABA strategies and data collection methods to monitor and support student progress.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state regulations.

  • Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • MA licensure for Students with Severe Disabilities (PreK-2) or comparable license

  • Experience with high-need populations

  • Familiarity with ABA and data collection

  • Must be able to work days

  • Background check may be required

  • Positive soft skills and adaptability

  • Standard requirements for school setting

  • School year starts August 28
