Description

Special Education Teacher for a 30-week contract in Chambersburg, PA. Provides individualized instruction for students with autism and support needs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to foster growth and independence. Earn competitive pay up to $55/hr with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with autism and support needs.

  • Create a positive learning environment that fosters growth, independence, and social skills.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and families.

  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to ensure student success.

Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania State Special Education Teaching Certification or equivalent certification.

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Special Education teaching within school settings.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work with autistic support programs.

  • Reliable transportation.

  • Background check clearance.
