Special Ed Asssistant, .81 FTE, PVE

PVE is seeking a caring, dedicated, and student-centered Special Education Assistant to join our team! We are looking for someone who appreciates the unique strengths and needs of every student, can adapt to varying skill levels, and approaches challenges with patience and positivity.

The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, compassionate, and committed to educational equity. They build positive relationships, and believe every student can be successful.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Supporting students in multiple settings.
• Assisting students with academic, behavioral, social, and emotional needs.
• Helping students develop independence, confidence, and essential skills.
• Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and other team members to support student success.
• Creating a safe, welcoming learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
