As our Order Fulfillment Specialist for the Spare Parts department, you will report to the Order Fulfillment Manager.
In this role you will support multiple divisions.
This role is located at our Buford, GA facility.
On any Given Day you will:
Receives and processes purchase requisitions in accordance with planning requirements
Processes and maintains purchase orders that reflect the expected pricing and deliveries
Resolves discrepant issues with vendors or internal customers in an efficient and timely manner
Manages sales order deliveries by urgency and makes sure the deliveries are created on time for the warehouse to ship
Manages backorders and ensures these are shipped as soon as inventory is available
Keeps Spare Parts Coordinators and Customer Support Coordinators well informed about any changes to customer orders
Handle expedite requests in a timely manner
Is main contact point for the vendors in relation to Spare Parts orders
Manages purchase order confirmations and ensures 99.5% confirmation rate
Executes to exception messages, runs open purchase order report and shares with vendors
Plans and executes intercompany transfer orders and decides on best possible transport mode
Work with Spare Parts Coordinators on return shipments and take appropriate follow up action
Tracks inbound shipments and follows up on inbound delivery issues with vendors
Administrative Functions:
Is main contact point for regional Spare Parts offices into global supply chain
Monitors open sales order reports and manages open sales order book
Meet with vendors for evaluation or problem resolution
Provides forecasting to vendors when applicable
Resolves invoicing issues
Conducts Supplier Business Reviews to discuss performance metrics including on-time delivery and lead time
Manages master data fields
Participates in daily stand up meetings with team and other key internal Stakeholders and follows up with further details if requested
Facilitate effective and proactive communication with different departments within Marel
Identify vendor performance issues and collaborates with Strategic Purchasing to create and execute an action plan to ensure improvements are made
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant area OR a minimum of 1 year of experience in a role as operational buyer, planner or in an MRP environment
Proficient in SAP, Power BI, Inventory Management
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Experience in basic vendor negotiations
Proficiency in operating computer software programs including Microsoft Office
Strong English skills, both written and verbal
Experience with and comfort working in a multi-cultural, multi-discipline organization is an advantage
