              Medical Front Desk Receptionist – Full Time

We are seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a busy medical office, and committed to providing EXCELLENT customer service to patients.


This is a full-time, in-person position.


Responsibilities


  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information
  • Collect copayments and other patient payments as needed
  • Assist with insurance eligibility and basic authorization/referral processes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Scan, upload, and organize patient documents
  • Communicate with providers, medical assistants, and other staff regarding patient needs
  • Assist patients with forms, referrals, and general questions
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Perform other front-office and administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 1–2 years of medical front desk/reception experience in a medical clinic/physician's office
  • Fluent Spanish-speaking skills are required
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and courteous communication skills
  • Experience scheduling patients and answering multi-line phone calls
  • Basic knowledge of health insurance verification and medical office procedures
  • Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computers
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working with Medi-Cal and managed care health plans
  • Experience with referrals and prior authorizations
  • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar EHR systems
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
