    Description

    La Posada at Pusch Ridge is seeking a passionate and dependable Spanish Instructor to teach classes on our campus to interested residents. Responsibilities include teaching both oral and written Spanish, developing and tailoring lesson plans for beginner-level classes, and potentially introducing multi-level classes as interest and skill levels grow.

    Share your passion and inspire our residents in the Spanish language and its culture.

    • Frequency: 2/week
    • Days/times to be determined
    • $45.00/hour class

    Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

    • Developing lesson plans and curricula based on a variety of levels and backgrounds.
    • Providing conversational classes where pronunciation and important words and phrases are taught.
    • Teaching writing and Spanish composition classes within the framework of the class.
    • Familiarity on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
    • Ability to maintain class(es) communication through email group(s).
    • Teaching students about Spanish culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, dress, and social conventions.
    • Organizing fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.

    Spanish Teacher Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Spanish language, literature, or an equivalent may be required.
    • Near native fluency.
    • A teaching certificate or license may be required.
    • Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
    • Detail-oriented and resilient.
