Job Description

We are seeking a Sourcing Manager IV to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in RFQ development, strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, and procurement operations and a proven ability to secure best-value outcomes, optimize cost and delivery, and maintain reliable supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather detailed requirements from sales and customers to create clear, complete RFQ specifications.
  • Solicit competitive bids and quotes, analyze submissions, and recommend best pricing and value.
  • Procure finished goods and services for resale using established suppliers and qualifying alternates as needed.
  • Recommend substitutions that improve cost, quality, quantity, or delivery performance.
  • Engage vendor representatives to resolve shipping, backorder, and overstock issues.
  • Develop and qualify new sources through competitive events and disciplined negotiations.
  • Maintain current vendor catalogs, price schedules, and related documentation.
  • Monitor product innovations and market trends and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expert negotiation and vendor management capability for RFQ and sourcing cycles.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to partner with sales and customers.
  • Ability to analyze multiple variables, resolve issues, and prioritize simultaneous activities.
  • Effective collaboration skills to gain cooperation across internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency drafting detailed customer orders and specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows environment with accurate 10-key skills.
  • Applied math skills for pricing, freight calculations, and label measurements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with strategic sourcing tools, eRFx, and spend analysis.
  • Background in supplier performance management and contract compliance.
