Job Description
+ Ultimately responsible for the interface with component manufacturers, distribution channels, and contract manufacturers to identify suppliers, execute contracts, and negotiate costs
+ Execute purchasing responsibilities to maximize supply continuity, growth potential, and profitability of the business unit (BU)
+ Coordinate and build strong relationships across the organization with Asia-based supply chain, engineering, and product development functions
+ Manage the existing supplier base including driving continuous improvement to key metrics including cost reduction, lead time, service level, quality DPPM, payment terms, and inventory
+ Support new product development by working with a cross-functional team that includes Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Finance to successfully develop and execute new product launches
Job Requirements
+ Experience sourcing in consumer, technology, or other high-growth industry (5+ years)
+ Experience building and managing international teams
+ Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both externally with suppliers and internally with various functions including engineering, product development, quality, finance, and supply chain
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven recommendations, both tactical and strategic, to senior management
+ Strong communication and presentation skills to all levels within organization
+ BS in Purchasing/Supply Chain/Business Mgmt/Engineering preferred
