Description:
Research and Education Institute at is seeking college students or recent college graduates in the humanities and social sciences for temporary, part-time positions involving digitization of documents.
Document sorting specialists will prepare primary source historical materials related to the life and work of for delivery to an outside vendor for scanning by reviewing physical copies and ensuring they match with the recorded metadata. Candidates must be able to adhere to deadlines, exercise sound judgment, and pay attention to detail. Experience with library research and working with primary documents preferred.

Location Address: Green Library, 557 Escondido Mall, Stanford, CA 94305-6063, room: 252B office (2nd floor) and access to storage room 252A (2nd floor)
Remote/onsite/hybrid: Onsite
Duration of project (start and end date): September 21, 2026-January 29, 2027 (possible assignment extension)
Please note: Stanford Winter Closure dates Monday, December 21, 2026, through Friday, January 1, 2027, apply to the assignment dates for the project.
Full time or part time: part-time
Number of hours per week: 20 hours per week
Shift timing/schedule: 8:30 am 12:30 pm (2 shifts) or 1 pm -- 5 pm (2 shifts)
