Job Summary
Join our premier cardiac center in Morristown, NJ, where we prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction. As a valued team member, you will perform ultrasound procedures, relieve patients of pre-testing anxiety, and monitor them throughout the process. Your role will include setting up equipment, reviewing prior reports and images, and maintaining records and inventory.
Duties
- Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures in easy-to-understand terms.
- Ensure proper and thorough imaging, employing appropriate techniques.
- Notify the reader once studies are complete.
- Maintain records and logs of exams performed.
- Manage inventory and purchase supplies for your area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experienced Sonographer with high-quality Adult Echo study skills as per ASE & IAC Guidelines.
- Dedicated inpatient echo work experience, documented by institutional referral with a minimum of 200 inpatient cases.
- Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills.
- Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
- Ability to work independently, recognize abnormalities, and respond quickly to critical findings.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- TEE and Stress Echo experience.
- Familiarity with 3D echo imaging.
- Experience with TAVR, Mitral Clip, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, VAD, and closure device protocols.
- Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation echo lab standards.
- Experience using Philips ie33 and Epiq systems.
- Familiarity with Epic hospital information system.
Schedule Notes
Thurs/Fri/Sat/Sun 9a-7p. Candidates must have TAVR TTE experience scanning pre-TAVR treatment patients with critical Aortic stenosis, as this is a key requirement for the role.
