    Description

    Position Summary:

    Stand Alone ED needing a multi-modality sonographer to work PRN with limited call in our Stand-Alone ED and Outpatient Center in Jamestown. Performs diagnostic general and Vascular ultrasound procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.

    • Conduct ultrasound exams, including general, OB, and vascular studies, according to established protocols.

    • Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working conditions.

    • Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.

    • Obtain and analyze patient history and clinical information to tailor ultrasound examinations effectively.

    • Document and maintain accurate records of examinations and findings.

    • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to discuss findings nd assist in diagnostic evaluations.

    • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.

    • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.

    Position Qualification:

    • Certification/Registration (RDMS) General ans OB with RVT to be completed within 2 years of employment.

    • Certification/Registration (ARRT) Sonography with RVT to be completed within 2 years of employment.

    • Possible multi modality in Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (healthcare)
