Solutions Engineer Prin
Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)
Pay: $70-$90/hr Based on experience
Role Overview
An experienced application-support developer is sought to build internal technical capability for energy platforms. This position combines hands-on software engineering, database development, production support, integration troubleshooting, monitoring, and application enhancement. The role will support energy-related applications, including data-intensive pricing solutions, an enterprise energy-trading and risk-management platform, databases, and operational tools. This position reports to the Solution Engineer Lead.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience: Eight or more years of relevant application development, database development, integration, or production-support experience. Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment is necessary.
Technical Skills: Advanced SQL skills are required, with strong development or support experience with Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL or Oracle/SQL. Experience with at least one applicable development or scripting technology, such as C#/.NET or Java, is also required. Candidates should have experience troubleshooting APIs, file transfers, or other system integrations, along with experience in source control, structured testing, and release procedures.
