    Description

    Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our National Security team supporting National Security Space and Sensor customers.

    As a Solutions Architect on the AWS National Security Team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to Intelligence Community (IC) customers-you are the "face of Amazon" to our most mission-critical customers. You will engage across a broad variety of complex technical challenges that directly impact national security outcomes. This is a high-visibility role where you collaborate with and influence both external stakeholders and internal AWS teams, including sales, platform engineering, and AI/ML service teams.

You will design and deliver AI-powered solutions that enable agencies to extract actionable intelligence from complex data at scale.

    This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary technical advisor and architectural authority for your customers, building deep trust with mission owners, program managers, and customer engineering leadership.
    • Design and prototype secure, scalable, resilient architectures for large-scale sensor data processing -spanning ingest, storage, compute, analytics, and AI/ML inference at the edge and in the cloud.
    • Lead technical engagements including architecture reviews, whiteboard sessions, proof-of-concepts, pilots, and Well-Architected reviews that accelerate customer adoption and mission outcomes.
    • Evangelize and operationalize emerging AI capabilities-generative and agentic AI, foundation models, computer vision, and geospatial ML-translating concepts into deployable, accredited architectures.
    • Architect portable, container-based solutions that leverage open-source technologies.
    • Partner closely with Account Managers and Capture Managers on account strategy, technical qualification, opportunity shaping, and long-range mission roadmaps.
    • Author and deliver technical content: reference architectures, reusable solution patterns, blog posts, whitepapers, demos, and workshops that scale your impact beyond individual engagements.
    • Capture the voice of the customer and act as a conduit to AWS service teams, influencing the AWS product roadmap with mission-driven requirements and feature requests.
    • Mentor peers and contribute to the technical community within the National Security team.
    • This position can have periods of up to 20% travel.
