We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and hands-on delivery for large-scale federal programs. The ideal candidate will design and evolve AWS cloud-native and serverless architectures supporting complex data ecosystems, high-volume integrations, and mission-critical applications.

This role combines architecture leadership with active engineering involvement. The Solution Architect will partner directly with federal clients, program leadership, developers, and stakeholders to design scalable solutions, resolve technical challenges, mentor engineering teams, and ensure successful delivery of cloud-native applications and data platforms.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable balancing strategic architecture responsibilities with hands-on coding, troubleshooting, system optimization, and technical mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AWS cloud-native and serverless architectures.

• Architect scalable solutions for large, complex data workloads and enterprise integrations.

• Design systems supporting high-volume data ingestion, processing, and analytics.

• Serve as the primary technical lead for cloud architecture initiatives.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and technical governance.

• Stay hands-on with application development, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

• Collaborate directly with federal clients to understand mission objectives and business requirements.

• Translate customer needs into secure, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.

• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and guide architectural decision-making.

• Design event-driven and distributed application architectures.

• Apply AI/ML concepts through prototyping, integration, and solution development.

• Mentor development teams through architecture reviews, design sessions, and knowledge sharing.

• Support DevSecOps initiatives including CI/CD automation and cloud security implementation.

• Improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Participate in architecture planning, modernization efforts, and technical roadmap development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

• Minimum 10%2B years of professional experience in software engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or solution architecture.

• Strong hands-on AWS cloud experience.

• Experience designing AWS serverless architectures.

• Strong programming experience with Java.

• Experience developing applications using React and Node.js.

• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.

• Strong SQL development experience.

• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB.

• Experience designing systems for complex integrations and large data environments.

• Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Experience in federal, government, or highly regulated environments.

• Ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
