Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect with a strong focus on AWS Architecture to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in cloud computing, with a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost effective cloud solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services and best practices, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to drive cloud adoption and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement cloud architecture solutions on AWS that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
Evaluate existing cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the cloud adoption lifecycle.
Develop and maintain cloud architecture documentation, including design patterns, standards, and best practices.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and trends, and assess their potential impact on the organization.
Conduct cloud readiness assessments and provide recommendations for migration strategies.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Mandatory Skills:
Extensive experience with AWS architecture, including services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
Proven experience in designing and deploying scalable and resilient cloud solutions.
Expertise in cloud migration strategies and tools.
Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud architecture and solutions.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Proven track record of successful cloud implementations in large scale environments.
